Qualifications for an Assistant Manager:
- At least 2 years of management experience in grocery, retail or food service
- Proven leadership skills and superior customer service skills
- Highly motivated to succeed
- Team building abilities
- Excellent communications skills
- High School Diploma, GED, Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- Must maintain a valid state driver's license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
As an Assistant Manager for GFS Marketplace you must create a team atmosphere where the GFS values and philosophies flourish. It is crucial that you help build and drive the sales through the "customer is king" mentality. While you have specific positional responsibilities you are also part of the management team and will be responsible for managing all facets of the store operations. Effective management includes, but is not limited to delegating, supervising, evaluating and being accountable for the end result.
Qualifications for a Shift Leader:
- One to two years previous customer service and supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Superior customer service skills
- Highly motivated to succeed
- Team building abilities
- Excellent communications skills
- High School Diploma, GED, Associate's degree preferred
- Must maintain a valid state driver's license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
The Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the management team in running daily store operations, including customer service, cash management, inventory management, inventory, stocking, store conditions and running cash register.
