Resource Center (NRC)
With the rising importance and awareness of both nutrition and food safety, the Nutrition Resource Center is a service utilized by all GFS customer segments. The NRC consists of 5 registered dietitians and additional support staff. The NRC serves as the nutrition and food safety experts to GFS customers. They work in conjunction with our Healthcare Consultation Services Team of Regional Dietitians. This group provides "hands-on" support to our customer base.

available to GFS customers from the NRC include: - Nutrition and Ingredient
Information on GFS products - The NRC maintains a database on all GFS food products,
nutrition and ingredient information.
- OPTIONS Cycle Menu System for Healthcare
- The OPTIONS
menu system is a 4-week cycle menu with 12 modified diets and over 200 standardized
recipes.
- Healthcare In-service Kits Volume I and II - Designed to save you time and money while effectively training your employees, these kits of 12 in-services are complete with pre- and post-tests, attendance sheets, outlines, activity ideas, certificates of completion and connections to additional resources.
- Food Safety Awareness
Program - Prevention starts with education. This three-tiered program offers you
the services and tools needed to effectively train employees in food safety.
HealthFlex Tray Card Program - A user-friendly system that will help you organize resident information, enhance communications, create professional-looking tray cards, print snack labels, track residents' weights, identify nutritionally-at-risk residents and more.
