I joined the GFS Marketplace team in 2004. I have really enjoyed the family environment and how Gordon Food Service rewards their employees, giving back to them through contests, awards, and recognition. Gordon Food Service really shows that they care about their employees.
As an Assistant Manager, I get to enjoy all kinds of different things including delivering great customer service, working with the Merchandising Assistant to set planograms and endcaps, and I even help unloading the trucks. I like that I get to be more of a "hands-on" manager, helping out where I can.
I feel such pride in what I have been given to do. Our store really works hard to be one of the best in the area, and we know we make a difference with each customer we meet.
