Cam and Steve

November 1, 2022 (Wyoming, Michigan) - After more than 34 years of dedicated service to our company, Steve Kampstra, president of Gordon Food Service Canada, has elected to retire. We are delighted to share that Cam Godin, previously regional vice president - Eastern Canada, has been promoted as his successor.

Steve started his career with Gordon Food Service in 1988 as a district sales representative and was promoted to several leadership roles across Canada, including president of our Ontario Division, VP of Canada distribution and most recently as president of Gordon Food Service Canada. Steve has served the foodservice industry as a board member of the Canadian Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), president of the National Food Distribution Association (NFDA) and currently serves as a GS1 Canada board member helping define global business standards. With his retirement, Steve leaves a legacy of contributions that fueled our growth across Canada.

Cam started with Gordon Food Service in 2000 as the purchasing and marketing manager in our Atlantic Division and was promoted to operations manager in 2003 and general manager in 2006. In 2020 he was named president of our Ontario and Atlantic Divisions before being promoted to his current role. Earlier in his Gordon Food Service career, Cam traveled to Zambia, Africa, co-leading the company’s first “Heart to Serve” mission trip.
