Gordon Food Service Begins Shipping Products From New Distribution Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Gordon Food Service (GFS) announces that it began shipping products to customers in the Greater Illinois and Wisconsin regions on March 15, 2010. The new 450,000 square foot distribution center is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The facility contains a temperature integrity system to ensure proper temperatures are maintained in the freezer, cooler, and ambient storage areas as well as the receiving, storage, and shipping areas. The facility also includes administrative offices.
 
The Kenosha facility is the company’s eleventh distribution center in the United States and its first in Wisconsin. Currently, Gordon Food Service operates distribution centers in Grand Rapids (2) and Brighton (2), Michigan; Springfield, Ohio; Shepherdsville, Kentucky; Greenville, South Carolina; Pottsville, Pennsylvania; and Ocala and Miami, Florida.
