Criminal Background Screening
To ensure that individuals who join this firm are well qualified and have a strong potential to be productive and successful, and to further ensure that Gordon Food Service maintains a safe and productive work environment that is free of any form of violence, harassment or misconduct, it is the policy of this company to perform pre-employment screening on all applicants who are offered and accept an offer of employment.
Therefore, all offers of employment are conditioned upon the company’s receipt of a pre-employment background screening investigation that is acceptable to the company at the company’s sole discretion. I agree to execute an authorization for Gordon Food Service to secure a criminal background check through a third party consumer reporting agency, and understand that if I refuse to sign an authorization form, I will not be eligible for employment.

Drug and Alcohol Testing
Gordon Food Service is committed to providing a safe, healthy and productive workplace that is free from alcohol and unlawful drugs as classified under local, state or federal laws. In furtherance of the company’s commitment to a safe and healthy workplace, Gordon Food Service maintains a policy in which job applicants may be required to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing in compliance with applicable laws.
Driving Record Check
If the position for which I am being considered involves driving a motor vehicle, either a company-owned vehicle or business use of my personal vehicle, I agree to execute an authorization for Gordon Food Service and its agents the authority to make investigations and inquiries of my driving record for the purpose of this application and subsequent needs if employed by Gordon Food Service. I understand that if I refuse to sign an authorization form for this purpose, I will not be eligible for employment.
